Rami Khouri

Rami directs the Issam Fares Institute of Public Policy and International Affairs at American University of Beirut as well as editor-at-large of the Beirut-based Daily Star newspaper. He is an internationally syndicated political columnist and author of "A View from the Arab Word," twice weekly. In October 2006 Rami was a visiting scholar at Stanford University and in November 2006, he was the co-recipient of the Pax Christi International Peace Award for his efforts to bring peace and reconciliation to the Middle East. Khouri earned BA and MSc degrees in Political Science and Mass Communications from Syracuse University.
